MAYWORKS FESTIVAL FOR THE WORKING PEOPLE AND THE ARTS
Mayworks Festival for Working People and the Arts brings awareness of the unions and their leading role in progressive social change to a diverse and interested public. We bridge the distance between artists and workers and connect audiences to the labour struggles and union victories of today. We will be screening 6 films over the month of May. In partnership with Toronto Palestine Film Festival, on the 14th we are hoping to open with a short animation by Ibrahim Abusitta followed by Kamal Aljafari’s documentary With Hasan in Gaza (2025). The evening will end with a panel discussion and snacks/refreshments will be served.
