
Adrienne Amato
Adrienne Amato was born in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and immigrated to Canada in 1977. She has a degree in occupational therapy and used film as a therapy tool with psychiatric patients. She began making documentary films in the late ‘80s with Derek Rogers.
Her films include: “Forgotten Mother,” about a reunion with her childhood caregiver in Zimbabwe, and “A Brief Life,” which is a poetic homage to a farmer and the cattle he raises. Her work has shown at festivals in Canada and Europ…
