Bruce Baillie

Bruce Baillie is a self-described “teacher, sailor, father and miscreant” who helped found Canyon Cinema back in 1961. It remains the oldest filmmakers’ cooperative and distribution center in the US. He holds an MFA in Film from the San Francisco Art Institute and has taught at the London School of Film and the University of Minnesota and Berkeley, among others.
