
David Bienstock
David Bienstock was a New York-based experimental filmmaker and curator. He was a graduate of City College (B.A., English) and of the film direction program at NYU. Bienstock’s work was influenced by the ideas embodied in modern art, particularly cubism and its notions of form and space. His career culminated as the curator of experimental film for the Whitney Museum of American Art. David died in 1976 at the age of 33.
