Christene Browne

Christene Browne is an award-winning filmmaker and novelist whose work has been broadcast and screened internationally. With the making of “Another Planet” in 1999, Browne became the first Black woman to direct and write a dramatic feature film in Canada. Her ground-breaking documentary series; Speaking in Tongues: The History of Language which features Noam Chomsky was awarded the Visionary award at the 2011 Women International Film and Television Showcase.
