Peter Mellen

Montreal born and raised, Peter Mellen spent five years in Paris and London after graduating from McGill University. In 1966 he obtained his Ph.D in Art History at the Courauld institute of Art in London and then taught at the University of Toronto and York University over the next seven years. During this time he published two major books, including a bestseller on The Group of Seven and another on the French artist Jean Clouet.
